As we approach the final puzzles in the book, I can't help but wonder if I've set the puzzles at the right level. Are they too easy? Are they too hard? It is my hope that with the help of the tutorials (in Part III), even relative beginners will have found most of these puzzles challenging, but solvable. But I also want even the most advanced programmers to finish this book feeling that they have learned something. |

I'm not sure when the phrase was first used in this context, but I think you will agree, when you have finished this section, that it is well namedfor these puzzles are truly nasty. |
